Description
Buck Point Lace workbook by Louise West aims to gently introduce the lacemaker to the various techniques of Point Ground lace. It shows you how to master all the basic stitches and techniques needed to make this fascinating Lace.
As you work through each carefully chosen chapter there is a page where you can make notes and to attach the lace you have made. This way you have a record of the work you have done. What difficulties you had with the piece or how easy you found it!
There are 15 patterns in the book, starting with edgings and insertions, and finishing with medallions and round motives. All patterns show Louise’s unique flare for design.
The threads used is Presencia Finca 80 and perle no 12 as a gimp thread. The bobbins used would be East Midlands spangled bobbins and range from 13 to 40 pairs.
A nice touch at the end of the book is a page with ideas for uses of the lace samples you have made.
