A simple Thread Guide from Makit listing the basic threads available on the Market today and the size grids that are appropriate for their use. It also list some discontinued threads so if you are using an old pattern you can see which of the modern threads to use.
It covers 7 different thread thicknesses from extremely fine to very coarse. Advice on how to chose and appropriate thread for your patterns if the designer has not given you any guidance.
Also in the pack is a perspex sheet with 6 different grids on it. This enables you to chose the thickness of thread required by placing the grid over your pattern to see which size is most appropriate.
