Description
Torchon Lace Scarf Holly by Annick Staes. Uses the basic Torchon stitches of Whole stitch and Half Stitch in blocks that form an interesting diagonal pattern. The pattern has no instructions but it is a reasonably simple pattern that someone with only a basic knowledge of Torchon Lace should be able to work.
The pattern is 18.5 cm wide and uses 42 pairs of bobbins.
Although the original pattern was worked in a thick silk, it could also be worked in a Perle No 8, or a fine wool (2ply)
For a slightly more complicated pattern why not try pattern no 3
