Description
Torchon Lace Scarf Laura – This pattern has a large flower motif made using Whole and Half Stitch. The pattern lends itself to being used as a wall hanging or a mat.
A basic knowledge of Torchon is needed. The Pattern consists of 3 sheets, start, middle and finish, the middle can be copied as many time as required to make the scarf the length you require. The pattern pricking width is 190cm and 52 pairs of bobbins are needed including a pair for a gimp.
This lace scarf pattern – Laura also works up well using Perle no 8 but either a thick silk, or fine wool can be used to make a scarf.
For a wall hanging a linen thread will give it an appropriate stiffness but Perle no 5 can be used to give it more weight.
