Description
Bookmarks and Handkerchiefs Written by Claire Burkhard and published by AtelierMB. A small A5 booklet of 16 Pages with patterns for 7 bookmarks. These are also adapted to make handkerchief edgings with corners.
The lace Technique used is Torchon and incorporates such stitches as whole and half Stitch, a fan edging and 2 variations of spiders.
It is written in 3 languages which including English, French and German, has clear diagrams for each pattern with pictures of the finished Lace. These pictures also shows you how you can use colour in the lace. The thread used in the samples shown is 60/2 linen, this gives body to the finished work. But it is the same thickness as a 30 cotton so the Fil a Dentelles 80 or the Finca Lace thread of 40/3 are also suitable alternatives.
The numbers of bobbins used varies from 11 pairs to 17 pairs.
